Baywatch is BACK & You Won’t Believe the New Cast! (Cue the Slow Motion Running)

In the words of Juvenile, MOVE IT SLOW MOTION FOR ME because that’s right- Baywatch is back. babes, bikini’s, beaches and a lot of slow motion running is coming back to the big screen. And why wouldn’t TCD be all about it?

As far as the babes, Zac Efron and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson have committed to the remake film that is expected to start shooting at the beginning of 2016.  THE ROCK? ZAC EFRON? I know try not to faint…

Let’s just say that it’s highly possible that around filming time I may have a near death drowning experience where I need a lifeguard to save me. And somehow I feel like I won’t be alone?

Efron told Reuters,

“It’s going to be R-rated and it’s going to be badass.” Efron went on to say, ”I think we’re going like pretty big with it and I don’t think it’s going to be much like the old Baywatch to be honest. I think we’re going to kind of reinvent it in a big way, and he [Johnson] has big plans for it. I know he’s very ambitious.”

Johnson shared his excitement on Instagram with an oh-so glorious picture of the two wearing their bare-skin washboard abs.

Not to mention that he left us hanging on a real cliff hanger in his caption:

“[…] and one more thing.. just wait ’til you see who we cast for our girls…”

OH EM GEE – WHO IS GOING TO BE OUR NEW PAMELA ANDERSON?

Apparently, Pam isn’t too thrilled on the remake idea. When asked about the new movie, she has commented “no one appreciates the remakes.” She believes that there ’90s were a “simpler, sweeter time” for television, and that the remake won’t work in today’s modern day and era.

Maybe Pam is a little bitter since she didn’t get asked to be a part of the remake. Perhaps she is scared someone will top her original performance?

Guess we’ll just have to find out for ourselves who will be the new BAE of Baywatch….

Female Surfers who Give the Boys a Run for their Money

So you think surfing is a men’s sport? Well, let’s put an end to that little, uneducated thought.

Female surfers are attracting more and more eyes to the sport, not only because they are wet women in their bikinis, but also because of their commitment to ride dangerous big waves, HARD.

Today, I am going to talk about three female surfers who give the boys a run for their money: Alana Blanchard, Bethany Hamilton, Layne Beachley.

Let’s start with Alana Blanchard. Alana is a professional surfer and model from Kauai, Hawaii.
According to surfermag.com, “Alana Blanchard is the 10^th-ranked female surfer in the world, and she is easily one of the most famous surfers on the planet, male or female.”

With her bright blonde hair, sexy body and big airs, Alana is easily an eye-catcher in the water. Plus good luck forgetting that booty when she comes out of the water!

Next Bethany Hamilton, also a professional surfer from Kauai, has been an inspiration to many. In 2003, she was attacked by a 14-foot Tiger Shark, which claimed her left arm and left many wondering if her future surfing career was over. However, she proved the doubters wrong with her unexpected reaction to the attack, returning to the water just one month later!

Just over a year after the attack, she went on to win her first National title. Let me remind you, she was surfing with ONE ARM! Now the famous surfer girl, has a little wahini of her own on the way! And of course this bad ass mama is still surfing! What a true miracle of a story!

Now, lets talk about one of the women who was a true trailblazer for females heading out into the lineup: the most successful female surfer in history, Layne Beachley.

Born in Sydney, Australia and acting as one of Australia’s greatest athletes, Layne has paved the way for women’s surfing. She is a seven-time Women’s World Champion. Yes, I said SEVEN. Even better, Beachley holds the greatest number of consecutive world titles, male or female. Talk about giving the boys a run for their money.
